Peabody – Virginia A. (Neen)(Warry) Felteau 92, beloved wife of seventy years of the late Richard T. Felteau, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Flynn) Warry. She was educated in the Lynn school system and graduated from St. Mary’s Girl’s High School in Lynn, class of 1948.
As a young woman, Mrs. Felteau had been employed by the General Electric Company of Lynn. After her marriage, she moved to Peabody where she has lived for over 69 years and for the past year she has lived with her daughter and her son-in-law. She has dedicated her life to raising her family.
A keen golfer, Ms Felteau was the co-founder of the Women’s Golf League at the former Middleton Golf Course and had completed her golf career at Bass Rocks Country Club in Gloucester. She was the sole survivor of the “Jesamines,” a group of eight women from St. Mary’s Girls High School, class “48,” who met faithfully every month for over sixty-five years. Devoted to her faith, she was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, where she served as president of the Mother of St. John’s Guild. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who she will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Warden and her husband, Gregg of Rowley, two sons, Richard Felteau and his wife, Lois “Louise” of Georgetown and John Felteau and his wife, Noreen of Peabody, six grandchildren, Grant Felteau, Sabrina Felteau, Matthew Warden and his wife, Susannah, Alexandra Warden, Jacqueline Lynch and her husband, Matthew, Jonathan Felteau and his fiancée, Hannah, three great-grandchildren, Bella Speed, Grace Warden and Graham Warden, a brother, Charles Warry and his wife, Patricia of Mashpee and many grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Phyllis O’Reilly and her husband to her, Leo and John Warry and her wife, Catherine.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 10 am. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
